Can you hear me now?

I have been a Sprint PCS customer for several years. I have dealt with Sprint changing their plans, their pricing, their unwillingness to keep customers, their lack of service, their dropping of calls, until now. I recently bought a couple of new Motorola T720 phones for Erin and myself. These new phones are on the Verizon Wireless network. I'm very happy with my new phone and I think Erin is just as happy with her new phone. I called Sprint and told them that I wanted to cancel. They asked very few questions. They didn't even try to get me to stay. So long and good riddance was the feeling I got from Sprints customer service. Sure they said they were sorry that I was leaving but it felt like it was part of the script their required to read. Kind of like the legal mumbo jumbo in radio commercials for automobiles.
Anyway, Erin called Sprint to cancel her phone that she has with them. She told me they gave her the run around. Asked her a lot of questions. Why was she canceling. She told them that there isn't any coverage at our home. The customer service representative wanted her zip code so she could look it up on the computer so she could tell Erin how she should be able to use her phone. It's fine that the computer shows there's coverage in our area. The fact is that when you're in our house we are unable to maintain calls. The signal drops. Sure you drop calls on cell phones while driving your car. But, to drop calls while sitting still in you own home seems like a problem to us. The customer service representative when on to ask Erin if she had upgraded her phone because that might fix the problem. Erin's reply, and the reason for my blog entry, "Yes. I upgraded to a Verizon phone!" So long Sprint. Can you hear me now?

I have Verizon service. When we went through Indy on our trip to Louisianna, my signal was great! I'm happy with my verizon service.

BTW -- Nice storms down there. Ugh. That was fun driving through that :)
